Italy
Italy is a large country in Southern Europe. It is home to the greatest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites - art and monuments are everywhere around the country. It is also famous worldwide for its cuisine, its fashion, the luxury sports cars and motorcycles, as well as for its beautiful coasts, lakes and mountains (the Alps and Appennines). Belize
Belize formerly the colony of British Honduras, the only one in "Latin America" with English as its official language. The country is located between Guatemala to the west and Mexico to the north. Attractions include jungle with exotic plants and animals, fishing, swimming, and diving in the sea with attractive reefs, and visiting Mayan ruins. Belize’s biggest tourist attractions are its cays, an easy hour’s boat ride from the capital Belize City.
Costa Rica
Costa Rica is the time poor traveller’s destination. A stable government diverse landscapes that cover volcanoes, rainforest and beaches and small in size makes this the ideal place to taste Latin America. The wildlife in Costa Rica is very diverse with bird watching a big draw card in the mountainous regions.
Cuba
Cuba is the largest Caribbean island, between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean. Honduras
Honduras is the second biggest country in Central America. Nicaragua
Nicaragua is the largest country in Central America and contains the largest freshwater body in Central America, Lago de Nicaragua. Highlights include the cities of Leon and Granada, the twin volcanoes island of Isla Ometepe and the beach resort of San Juan del Sur.
Panama
Republic of Panama’s strategically located on the isthmus that forms the land bridge connecting North and South America. Bolivia
Bolivia is a beautiful, geographically diverse, pluricultural and multiethnic, democratic, unitarian Republic in the heart of South America. Sometimes referred to as the Tibet of the Americas, Bolivia is one of the most remote countries in the western hemisphere. It is also the most indigenous, with 60% of its population being of pure Native American ancestry. Capital of Bolivia is La Paz (The Peace) a city that will literally take your breath away.
Brazil
Brazil is the largest country in South America. Famous for its soccer tradition and its annual carnival in Rio de Janeiro and Salvador de Bahia, it is a country of great diversity. From the bustling urban mosaic of São Paulo to the infinite cultural energy of Pernambuco and Bahia, the untouched wilderness of the Amazon rainforest and world-class landmarks such as the Iguaçu Falls, there is plenty to see and to do in Brazil. Chile
Chile narrowly stretches along half of the Pacific coast of South America. Its elongated shape results in a widely diverse spread of environments and cultures. The southern section has some of the most spectacular glacial parks (Torres del Paine), through to the Atacama desert (San Pedro de Atacama). The capital of Chile is Santiago de Chile.
Columbia
Colombia is the only country in South America with coastlines on both the North Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea. Towering mountain ranges, beautiful beaches and a thriving cosmopolitan life, travelling in Columbia is definitely worth while. The highland lost city of Ciudad Perdido is an amazing experience.
Ecuador
Ecuador like Costa Rica is a one country wonderland. Towering snow covered volcanoes, beautiful beaches, stunning deep green valleys, beautiful cloud forest, ruins, cultural diversity and an excellent launch pad for the Amazon rainforest. One thing that should not be missed is the Galapagos Islands and the stunning array of animals.
Peru
Peru is a country that has a diversity and wealth little common in the world. The main attractions are their archaeological Incan ruins, their gastronomy (the fifth most important one of the world), their colonial architecture (has imposing colonial constructions) and their natural resources (a paradise for the ecological tourism). Lima, the capital of Peru is the launch pad to the countries wonders – Macu Picchu, Colca Canyon, Cusco, Lake Titicaca, Iquitos (Amazon rainforest) and the Nazca lines.
Uruguay
Uruguay is a small lowland country situated between the region giants of Argentina and Brazil. The capital Montevideo houses many architectural wonders, the people stroll along the streets carrying their yerba mate and football games can be found in any spare space. Colonia is a well preserved colonial town on the River La Plata and Puenta del Easte is a summer haven for the well off Uruguayans and Argentineans.
Venezuela
Venezuela situated in northern South America, boasts the longest Caribbean coastline, rich mountainous forest regions, Gran Sabana and the amazing formations of the Tapuys. Venezuela has a rich diversity of landscapes; the swamplands of the Gran Sabana, the towering Tapuys house amazing endemic flora and fauna and provide Angel Falls and the Caribbean coast boasts some world class resort islands (Margarita Island).
